PT-141 – 10mg
PT-141 is also referred to as Bremelanotide, a peptide that is believed to help address sexual dysfunction in men. It may also be helpful for women with sexual arousal disorders.
PT-141 is being researched by Palatin Technologies and is given the tentative brand name Rekynda. The company is set to submit a New Drug Application to the FDA, with this medication mostly intended to females suffering from sexual dysfunction. The research on this substance started in the early 1960s and continued through the 1980s. When Competitive Technologies of the University of Arizona gave the license of their research to Palatin Technologies, they signed with King Pharmaceuticals to co-develop bremelanotide. After the Phase III trials, Palatin Technologies partnered with AMAG Pharmaceuticals to further complete the development and even help with its marketing pending the approval of the FDA.

PT-141 was developed from the Melanotan II peptide, which provides almost the same effects although it was more identified as a tanning agent. When PT-141 was used on test subjects, it was discovered that they had a longer erection and increased libido.
The other benefits of PT-141 are related to regulating blood flow restriction and inflammation. Studies show that PT-141 may help manage hemorrhagic shock and reperfusion injury. That means PT-141 may potentially reduce or even prevent inflammations caused by irritants and other diseases. This peptide also has shown to reduce any damage that may occur in the blood vessels and its surrounding tissues.
This research peptide shows great promise during scientific studies. On animal subjects, it successfully regulated blood flow restriction, controlled inflammations, and helped improve sexual dysfunctions. The benefits of PT-141 were established after the effects of Melanotan 2 were discovered. PT-141 is a derivative of Melanotan 2.
How Does PT-141 Work?
During laboratory testing, it was determined that PT-141 works by activating the MC3-R and MC4-R melanocortin receptors, which are found in the central nervous system. This action makes PT-141 different from Viagra and other similar medications, as they work on the vascular system. PT-141 works directly with the brain and the rest of the nervous system.
However, there are also some side effects associated with PT-141. In the test subjects, it was observed that this peptide may cause flushing for about an hour. In other cases, it may also take libido to overdrive, a characterized by abnormally long sexual desire and erections.
However, this substance is yet to be approved for human consumption. The research around PT-141 is not yet complete so it is not recommended by the FDA as of this date. The use of this substance is purely for research purposes.
